1) Pledge of Allegiance and address any new members

2) Christmas Donations – Loving Grace Final Cut off will be maybe the second Tuesday in December

3) Nixa Hamfest November 11, 2023-Look at trying to attending

4) ARES book training should only 30-40% of our training per DEC.

Jan 13 there will be an event ran by all district starting in the morning(more information to come)350

Dec 2 is the NWS Appreciation Day

Salvation Army is looking for Bell Ringer they are willing to pay but you can re donate it back. If needed they will provide you will a stool can work for roughly 4 hour up to 8PM.

5) SATERN Event with complete set up for a food and stuffed animal drive to boost up the Emergency supply bank for Jasper and Newton Counties. Event will be Thursday, November 16 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at the Salvation EDS garage.

6) Steve Kreeger SR. Will be taking leave of absence from December 1, 2023 thru April 1, 2024. Will still complete Christmas donation project.

Pittsburg Crawford County ARES Meeting 9/9 9 AM at Fire Station #1. Enter in the back
8) Need ideas for meeting improvements. Been informed that meetings are not productive. Same as well how to improve training and start doing drill exercises.
Potentially create a training exercise for an actual drill. Pre-plan it and then initiate it.
9) Need ideas to how to improved membership. We are second largest county in District D and got lowest membership tally.
-Make sure Emails and phone numbers are updated.

Thomas discussed T-shirts-

Rex discussed about having a work day at the new tower repeater area in Carthage.
He also stated that Hamfest is coming along pretty good, Steve and him are going out there to see where to park the Saturn trailer.
Rex also mention the Emergency Service Jamboree at Frank Childress Scout Reservation the weekend of Aug 5th

Steve discussed a place to have a meet and greet to have a get together to promote ARES.

All Leadership should be helping with as many events possbile. Need to help promote ARES. Leadership should keep their phone with them in case your called for an emergency.

Svitak has been dropped due to weather and support from volunteers(not ours) along with donation.

Training-Last months training was very educational. Do we want a training or a drill-Andy suggest a drill.

The group will be learning and applying the methods of soldering. If you have anything like antennas, cables or adapters that need soldering, please come and learn and use the application to fix your projects.

If you have solder and/or soldering tools, please bring them.

The group will meet at Emergency Disaster Services garage at 726 Kentucky, Joplin Mo.
