Thomas discussed T-shirts-

Rex discussed about having a work day at the new tower repeater area in Carthage.
He also stated that Hamfest is coming along pretty good, Steve and him are going out there to see where to park the Saturn trailer.
Rex also mention the Emergency Service Jamboree at Frank Childress Scout Reservation the weekend of Aug 5th

Steve discussed a place to have a meet and greet to have a get together to promote ARES.

All Leadership should be helping with as many events possbile. Need to help promote ARES. Leadership should keep their phone with them in case your called for an emergency.

Bike rides

Svitak has been dropped due to weather and support from volunteers(not ours) along with donation.

Gorilla bike ride is still a go
Jasper trails is still a go

Need everyone to start working on your event radios and equipment to getting them prep for upcoming events

Training-Last months training was very educational. Do we want a training or a drill-Andy suggest a drill.

Looking for any ideas of doing an outdoor exercise-fox hunt-Doing it on a Saturday in October.

Looking for Ideas for Christmas projects-Doris House(Loving Grace)

April 20 ARES Training Meeting

The group will be learning and applying the methods of soldering. If you have anything like antennas, cables or adapters that need soldering, please come and learn and use the application to fix your projects.

If you have solder and/or soldering tools, please bring them.

The group will meet at Emergency Disaster Services garage at 726 Kentucky, Joplin Mo.

Jasper County, Missouri Amateur Radio Emergency Services June 6, 2023 Agenda

1) Pledge of Allegiance and address any new members
2) Net Controls for the Following:

3) New DEC John Wahl has resigned by end of month June
4) Looking at some dates for a meet and greet during early fall. This will give time to promote it. This can be done either with Salvation Army or separately.Potentially do a ARES, JARC, SATURN, SKYWARN, Cherokee ARES involved. No Food, maybe just drinks. Potentially create a digital flyer to put on facebook and put online.
June 13th at Humphrey park JARC is having a meet and greet at 6pm asking people to bring side dish.

Nets:Stateline ARES Nets on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm. 147.240 and 146.940 repeaters are linked.
KS/MO Skywarn Storm Spotters Alliance Group has the 7:00 pm net on 145.350 on Mondays nights
Jasper County ARES net on Monday evenings. At 8:00 pm for Jasper County ARES. 444.625 / 91.5
District D ARES net on Fridays at 7:30pm 45.390 / 91.5

Carthage Repeater 145.190

Per Thomas Zeller:

A reminder, this Saturday May 27th, there will be a workday at the 145.190 tower site. The tower is located in Carthage behind Kings Cashsaver. Go east of I-49 on Central. Go to top of hill, Baker Blvd. Turn left ( north). You should see tower. Cross street just past Kings Cashsaver, turn right. Entrance into tower is on left. Fun starts at 10 AM. Bring saws, rakes, mowers, weed eaters, gloves, eye protection, and anything else you think might aide in clearing brush.

ARES Attendance

March 1 will be the cutoff date for those that have not attending meetings lately. You will be removed and put on the inactive list and removed from email and text. If you want back in on a later date, you will need to contact the Emergency Coordinator Andy Gabbert….
