Agenda
1) Pledge of Allegiance and address any new members
2) Net Controls for the Following:
October 10: Thomas
October 17: Andy
October 24:Ron
October 31:(Simplex) Milton
November 7: Steven Jr
3) Need EC or AEC to take over November and December’s meetings and nets.-Ron-Weather Net, Meetings-Andy and Thomas,
4) Third Thursday for ARES continues October 21 to assist on closing. This will be last event for the year. Tickets for free food will be provided for the group. Note: Downtown Alliance director says that we are still doing an expert job of Joplin’s Third Thursday’s events.
5) Working on meetings for the KS/MO Skywarn group. One hopefully will be in Galena, KS. Looking at having meetings on weeknight and a weekend. The radio team will have monthly communication checks for high visibility locations. Note- KS/MO team will have several teams within it.
6) 145.190 repeater will be the new ARES repeater for nets and events when it gets installed on tower in Carthage
7) Jasper Trails Event is Saturday October 8. Discussion towards end of meeting. This is the last event for the year 2022.
8) Comments from AECs / EC-Ron-Looking at making a list to program radios that coordinate the 2 digits after the . will coordinate with the channel on the radio. Thomas-No comment. Andy-It was mentioned that we were using the 146.400 at the Hamfest and that it interferes with them(Jim Scotts Repeater) Jennifer Nominated as PIO and making it officially. Ron nominated as Training officer. We will have to go online and fill out forms and send them in. October 22-Veterans Walk.
Nets: Stateline ARES Nets on Wednesdays at 7:30 pm. 147.240 and 146.940 repeaters are linked. Time may change to 7:00 pm if nets run out of time.
Jasper County ARES has two nets on Monday evenings. One at 7:00 pm for Skywarn Weather and one at 8:00pm for Jasper County ARES. District D ARES net on Fridays at 7:30pm145.390 / 91.5
